At HiPer Haus, we love partnering with forward-thinking builders to deliver homes that are healthier, more comfortable, and energy efficient. Our recent project with Enduro Builders at Wynn Vale is a great example of how the right mechanical systems can transform a home. By being engaged from the design stage it allows us to guide the design of the systems to fit into the build neatly.
Mechanical Ventilation System
For this project, we installed and commissioned a Zehnder Q350 Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) system. This unit delivers a constant supply of fresh, filtered air while simultaneously extracting stale air — recovering up to 90% of the heat energy in the process. The result is a home that stays comfortable, healthy, and energy-efficient throughout the year.
To integrate the system seamlessly, the ComfoTube ducting was installed within a Rhondo drop ceiling, positioned beneath a Pro Clima Intello airtightness membrane that was holding the ceiling insulation in place. This method not only keeps the ductwork within the thermal envelope of the home, but also protects the home’s airtightness layer and ensures the system performs at its best — a key consideration for high-performance and Passive House builds.
The pictures show the various stages of installation with the ductwork installed prior to plasterboard installation and the MVHR unit installed after the cabinets are installed.

Hot Water System
Alongside the ventilation system, we also supplied a Reclaim Energy CO₂ hot water heat pump. This system is one of the most sustainable hot water solutions available, using CO₂ as a natural refrigerant and operating efficiently even in cold conditions. It provides reliable hot water with significantly lower energy use and greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional systems.
