Start with the problem
You only need to tell us what you’re noticing.
Perhaps one end of the house is always cold. The bedrooms feel stuffy overnight. There is condensation on the windows, mould keeps returning, or the heating runs constantly without making the house comfortable.
Those symptoms can have more than one cause. The inspection and moisture readings help us separate ventilation, damp and building envelope issues before you spend money on improvements. If air leakage needs to be measured, we can add a blower door test.

What happens at your home
We start with what you’ve noticed
We walk through the home with you and talk about the rooms, seasons and conditions in which the problem shows up.
We inspect and take moisture readings
We look closely at the areas causing concern and use a moisture meter to check surfaces and materials where damp or condensation may be contributing to the problem.
We check the wider picture
We review ventilation, exhaust fans and accessible parts of the building envelope so the advice considers how the whole home is working together.
Optional blower door testing
You can add a calibrated blower door test to the assessment. It measures total air leakage and allows smoke diagnostics to trace the main leakage paths while the home is under pressure.
What we check
Practical checks, not assumptions
We use the tools that suit the problem in front of us. Moisture readings and a careful inspection are included; a blower door test can be added if you would like measured airtightness and a detailed air-leakage investigation.
Moisture readings
Targeted checks with a moisture meter in the rooms and materials connected to damp, mould or condensation concerns.
Ventilation
Fresh-air pathways, bathroom and kitchen exhaust, bedroom air quality and moisture removal.
Building envelope
Accessible insulation, windows, doors, roof space, subfloor and the parts of the home separating inside from outside.
Airtightness testing (optional)
Add a measured blower door result and smoke investigation of the larger leakage paths to your assessment.
After the visit
Clear findings you can use
The report is written to help you make decisions, brief trades and avoid doing work in an order that creates another problem later.
